Day 10: Mt. Elgon National Park

Mt. Elgon has the largest volcano base in the world and is the oldest and largest solitary, volcanic mountain in East- Africa. It is home to over 300 species of birds, including the endangered lammergeyer, small antelopes, forest monkeys, elephants and buffalos. Tourist activities include: nature walks, rock climbing, mountain climbing, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, sport fishing, touring Sipi falls & Nyero rock paintingsand scenic viewing.

Day 11: Mt. Rwenzori

Mt. Rwenzori, considered as the third highest mountain in Africa is in Uganda. Although it is along the equator, it has permanent snow covered tops and the snow does not melt. This is an amazing creation and a wonder. The magnificent snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains are suited for all year-round hiking and mountaineering. Tourist activities include; mountaineering & hiking and viewing magnificent snow-capped Rwenzori.

Day 12: Lake Victoria Beaches

The country is home to Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa and second largest fresh water lake in the world. The lake has beautiful white sand natural beaches, with cool fresh lake breezes. The main beaches are in Ssese and Kalangala islands and Entebbe areas. Tourist activities include: sunbathing, swimming, beach walks, beach games, fishing, fish roasting, bird watching, forest walks, chimpanzee tracking and community visits.

Day 13: Source of the Nile

The River Nile, one of the longest rivers in the world, starts its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea, from Uganda. Many tourists across the globe come to the source of the Nile because of its historical importance and economic importance. Tourist activities include: Visiting white water rafting, bungee jumping, angling, kayaking and sightseeing.

Day 14: Sipi Falls

Sipi falls located in eastern Uganda in the Mt. Elgon region is a magnificent and famous tourist attraction. You cannot visit Mt. Elgon without visiting Sipi falls.

Day 15: Uganda Nile Bridge in Jinja

The Uganda Nile bridge is located across on River Nile in Uganda’s eastern town of Jinja. The spectacular bridge crossing the Nile River is a 525 meter long cable-stayed bridge and is considered the second longest and one of its kind in East Africa region after Tanzania’s 680 meter long Kigamboni Bridge. The Nile bridge has become a tourist attraction to many people from Uganda and beyond.

Day 17: Semuliki Forest Park

Semuliki Forest Park lies across the floor of the Semuliki Valley on the remote, western side of the Rwenzori mountains. The park is dominated by the eastern most extension of the great Ituri Forest of the Congo Basin. This is one of Africa’s most ancient and bio-diverse forests; one of the few to survive the last ice age, 12-18,000 years ago. Tourist activities include: Bird watching, touring Semuliki hot springs, driving on Bundibujo curved roads and sightseeing the Rwenzori mountain ranges.

Day 18: Uganda Cultural Tourism

Uganda has a rich heritage and diverse cultures. It has over 30 indigenous tribes and languages, and most of the tribes have their own special dances.Cultural sites include: Uganda museum located in Kampala; Ndere Cultural Centre in Kampala City; Igongo Cultural Centre in Biharwe-Mbarara; Bahai temple, a temple of its kind in the whole of Africa; Namugongo martyrs shrines; Fort Bigo Bya Mugyenyi; and the Bagisu-Embalu circumcision cultural functions.

Embalu ceremony is an annual circumcision season event among the Bugisu tribe of Eastern Uganda. During the Embalu ceremony, boys are initiated into manhood through circumcision. This is a great event that attracts multitudes from Uganda and the East African region.

Day 19: Kigezi Hills

Kigezi sub-region, in South-Western Uganda, is always referred to as the Switzerland of Uganda because of the mountain scenery and low temperatures. Kigezi offers a unique travel adventure because of its numerous lakes, many hills, panoramic views and countless terrace farms. Tourist activities include: sightseeing, driving on Kisoro curved roads, swimming, boat riding and fishing on Kigezi lakes.
